Pipefitting
|
 |
Local 51 Pipefitters are the best in the business when it comes
to the installation and repair of both high and low pressure
pipe systems that are used in manufacturing, in the generation
of electricity and in the heating and cooling of buildings. They
also install automatic controls that are increasingly being used
to regulate these systems.
It takes 10,000 hours of on the job training and 1230 hours of
classroom instruction for a Local 51 apprentice to become a
journeyman pipefitter. Just like Local 51 plumbers these
requirements exceed those for state licensing in Massachusetts
and Rhode Island. Additional instruction is required for our
Pipefitters to receive certification in the various welding
disciplines. |
Local 51 Journeymen Pipefitters are experts in a number of areas
including:
* Controls
* Industrial High/Low Pressure Gas Piping
* Industrial High/Low Pressure Steam Piping
