Local 51 plumbers install and repair the water, waste disposal,
drainage and gas systems in commercial and industrial buildings
as well as in homes across Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode
Island.
Local 51 plumber apprentices undergo extensive classroom and on
the job training over five years before they become union
journeymen plumbers. In fact, to become a union plumber we
require them to perform 1230 classroom hours and 10,000 on the
job hours---far above what is required for licensing in both
Massachusetts and Rhode Island. |
Local 51 plumbers strictly adhere to local, state and national
plumbing codes' ensuring your project is completed in uniform
fashion. Our continuing education programs provide union
plumbers with the most up-to-date knowledge of building codes,
plumbing techniques and safety procedures.
Local 51 journeymen plumbers are experts in a variety of areas
including:
* Municipal Water Treatment Plants
* Commercial Waste Water Treatment Facilities
* Back-flow Prevention & Industrial Safeguards
